The Princess is the First Spear (Short Story)

Translation of Jirō Kanbara’s short story “The Princess is the First Spear.” It will be featured in an anthology anthology entitled Strokes of Brush and Blade, which will published by Kurodahan Press.

The stage is set at the fourth battle at Kawanakajima, in the year 1561, when Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin were warring over the northern territories in Shinano Province. Takeda was certain he’d win the battle… that is until the beautiful, almighty warrior Himemiya Ukyō showed up. Will Takeda rein victorious? Or is Himemiya too powerful to defeat?

Strokes of Brush and Blade will be released in the summer of 2019.
